COOLKIWI HISTORY:
Where we started, what inspired us & where we are headed.
Coolkiwi Automotive Enhancements ltd. all started in 2013 when I sent my wife to get her car air conditioning re-charged. She came back saying she was told it would cost $2000 as she needed to replace part of the air conditioning system. Being in the automotive industry for well over 10 years myself, I checked it and saw that there was nothing wrong with the system; it only needed a recharge of the gas in the air conditioning for it to be as cold as it originally was.
This then brought on the idea to create a simple and cost effective DIY kit that anyone can do anywhere. I saw it had been done overseas but not on our side of the world – and like any good NZ business, our very first stock was delivered to my mothers garage & Coolkiwi Automotive Enhancements began!
Coolkiwi Automotive Enhancements is a company based in New Zealand and has its product made with a bit of kiwi ingenuity to make each product as best as possible for the NZ market! We offer many different DIY kits to re-charge, find leaks and seal leaks in the automotive air conditioning system. As well as offering machinery at competitive prices to those who need it for professional & commercial use. We also have a number of other products that we found were just missing from the market or were very costly. How are we cheaper you ask? Its simple. We manufacture all our own products – from the factory to our warehouse to you. Theres no middlemen, no middle companies so your not paying the extras that come along with that.
Rubber Paint – where did this idea come from? It isnt a new idea, unfortunately we cant take that credit! But the inspiration to create a good removeable liquid wrap product for New Zealand actually again came from my wife. I purchased her a new car, & she said she would love it to be pink colour. I thought of the cost of a full car paint job, and then I thought to myself I will never be able to re-sell this car in the future if it is pink. SO – a removeable paint would be the answer! I saw that the only product on the market was an imported USA product which I found could definitely use some improvement – especially for the NZ weather conditions (like our extreme UV sun). So here came Coolkiwi Rubber Paint – the response from customers has been so great, with people using it for all sorts of different things and being able to customise the paint so much, and have a lot of fun with it. Turns our my wife isnt the only one who likes a pink car – quite a lot of cars have been rubber painted pink over the years!
Since starting we have been getting more and more inquiries from overseas particularly Australia so we now offer worldwide shipping. Its great to see our friends “over the ditch” making the most of our products & we are working on our products easily accessible for absolutely everyone – both in NZ and for you overseas!
